Warranty Policy

Aertsen takes pride in its product and service quality, each product is made at our state-of-the-art factories under skilled supervision with utmost love & care. All Aertsen Products are covered under warranty for complete peace of mind. Please read below to know more about the process for warranty claims and detailed terms & conditions.

 

  1. Customers can register a complaint for any warranty-related issues by calling us on our customer care number i.e., 040-41895555 or by writing to us at care@aertsen.in.
  2. The customer must possess a digital or physical proof of duly-signed handover document to claim a warranty against Aertsen Products.
  3. All warranty claims will be attended to by our expert service team within 3 working days of complaint registration.

 

Warranty terms and conditions.

 

  1. This warranty shall begin on “the handover date” mentioned in the handover document at the time of project delivery.
  2. After the settlement of any claim, the warranty period will not start afresh.
  3. Aertsen shall provide repair/replacement only after a thorough inspection carried out by its authorized representative.
  4. Aertsen shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damages to the customer. The customer’s exclusive and sole remedy under this warranty policy shall be as mentioned here in this clause.
  5. Aertsen is not liable to provide any alternative accommodation during any repair work. Customers shall make their own arrangements, if required.
  6. The warranty policy shall not cover any defects arising out of factors out of control of Aertsen, including but not limited to:
    1. Natural calamities such as earthquakes, cyclones
    2. Vandalism
    3. Acts of God
    4. Abuse or negligence by the customer
    5. Normal wear and tear
    6. Surface with contaminants
    7. Failure or defects in the structure or previous coating
    8. Any other external factors
  7. Aertsen reserves the right to carry out inspections and to perform any tests and may do so either itself or by means of any person nominated by it. Prior to such inspection or testing, the customer shall not be entitled to perform any repairs or remove or tamper with any part of the product/ service.
  8. Aertsen shall use its best endeavours to ensure that the repair work is completed as soon as possible, but does not assume liability for delay in this respect.
  9. Aertsen, in its sole creation, is entitled to Control/monitor repair which is to be carried out in accordance with all its specifications and instructions.
  10. Aertsen is not liable to process and execute any repair or replacement request made by the customer within the warranty timeline in coordination with the third-party brand. Aertsen ONLY HELP to co-ordinate with the Respective Brands
  11. Any additional charges including work done over and above fixing the identified defect will be chargeable by Aertsen. The cost of these additional charges is to be borne by the customer.
  12. There are no warranties expressed or implied under law, which extend beyond the terms set out in this warranty document.
  13. Neither party shall commence any court nor arbitration, discredit proceedings related to the above warranty policy before completing the entire evaluation process. Under such circumstances, the warranty policy will be considered null and void as the issue would be sub judice. In case of any disputes, the same is subject to the exclusive Jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad
  14. The facts and all matters concerning any dispute will be kept confidential by both the customer and Aertsen at all times.

 

  1. Modular Furniture Warranty policy

    1. Aertsen Warranty Policiy covers only when
      1. The product supplied and installed is properly maintained and used for normal domestic use.
      2. The product is still owned by the original purchaser.
      3. The product is still at its original installed position and location.
    2. The warranty has not expired, subject to limitations set by Aertsen.
    3. Refer table below for product-wise warranty details.

    4. Aertsen Modular furniture is covered under warranty against the following cases.
      1. Manufacturing defects against fit and finish of the product.
      2. Bulging and bending of panels against moisture/dampness, subjected to less than 72 hours of exposure.
      3. Damage caused due to termites/pests, subjected to the use of the product in hygienic surroundings and with proper maintenance.
      4. Fading of Color/patterns of the panels subjected to the use of the product in Indoor conditions only and not exposed to direct/indirect sunlight, UV light or heat.
      5. Peeling-off of Laminate/edge-band of the panels, subjected to the use of the product in Indoor conditions only and not exposed to Moisture/dampness for more than 72 hours, direct/indirect sunlight, or heat.
      6. Hardware failure within the warranty period, subject to the use of the product in Indoor conditions only and not exposed to Moisture/dampness for more than 24 hours.
        1. Aertsen Modular Warranty Policies Does not cover for
          1. Color/Pattern and Polish of the shutters in the Pearl and Seinna series are not covered under the comprehensive 10-year Modular warranty due to the nature of the product being Paint, Veneer and Polish which are sensitive and must be used with caution.
          2. Normal incidental deterioration like cuts, scratches, nicks and abrasions which are resulting from normal use during the standard life of the product.
          3. Natural wear and tear or damage caused by rough handling or using the product beyond its intended use.
          4. Damage caused due to accidents, improper maintenance, or intentional or willful misuse of the product.
          5. This warranty does NOT cover rusting of channels, hinges, and other metallic parts. These could be damaged due to household chemicals and sprays. Hence, care has to be taken while using such products around hardware and accessories.
          6. Any cabinetry or component parts that Aertsen considers to have been subject to alteration, modification, accident, abnormal use, extreme temperatures and continuous contact with water, high moisture levels or use of harsh and/or abrasive cleaning chemicals.
          7. Any labour, installation or transportation costs or any responsibility for damage that considers as natural wear and tear of finishes and surfaces.
          8. Any third-party products used or installed associated with Aertsen kitchens/ wardrobes/ modular storage such as electrical & plumbing fixtures, countertops and appliances, instead will carry the third-party brand warranty and one can refer respective brand’s website for their warranty policies.
        2. Repair(s) and/or replacement(s) are subject to the current product offerings of styles and construction options within the Aertsen product line, at the time of the claim. If a claim is filed after an Aertsen product becomes obsolete or discontinued, Aertsen will replace the affected component with a replacement component of a similar style based on availability at the time of the claim.
          1. Any decision regarding the repair of the said component (in part or whole) solely lies with the authorized Aertsen representative. The decision will be made following an inspection by the representative whether to repair at the site or return the product to the factory for refurbishing/ replacement.
          2. Liability: Aertsen will make all efforts to replace/ repair the said defect within a reasonable period of time. Aertsen will NOT be liable for any direct/indirect loss to the user due to the defect or delay in providing the service, or any fault arising due to design, application or installation.
          3. The warranty is not renewed or extended where the Aertsen modular cabinets or components are replaced in part or whole during the said warranty period. The replaced parts will continue to be covered under our warranty only till the remainder of the period as indicated in its respective table. Barring components which carry a lifetime warranty, the warranty for any product under any circumstances will not exceed a period of 10 years.
        3. Aertsen reserves the right to alter specifications in keeping with its policy of continuous product evaluation and improvement.
        4. The scope of Aertsen warranty cannot be changed or broadened by any authorized representative of Aertsen.
  2. Custom and Service works Warranty policy

    Non-Standardized scope of work including but not limited to Woodwork, Glass work, Partitions, Wall Cladding & Paneling, Flooring, False Ceiling, Electrical and Plumbing work etc. that are

    made On-site tailored to customer requirements is classified as Custom work. And Aertsen offers 6 month comprehensive warranty against Quality and Craftsmanship of the said custom works.

    Since Custom works are not manufactured in an automated factory and are hand-crafted onsite, it is expected to have some minor scratches, glue marks and un-even surfaces under acceptable range and Aertsen doesn’t offer a warranty against claims made in this criteria.

    1. Aertsen Warranty Policy cover only when
      1. The product supplied and installed is properly maintained and used for normal domestic use.
      2. The product is still owned by the original purchaser.
      3. The product is still at its original installed position and location.
    2. The warranty has not expired, subject to limitations set by Aertsen.

      Onsite – Misc. Works like Glass-works, Granite Works, Wooden Flooring, Tile or Marble Flooring, Wall cladding, Metal fabrication works etc. Comprehensive 6-month warranty
    4. Onsite woodwork is covered under warranty against the following cases.
      1. Craftsmanship defects against the fit and finish of the product.
      2. Bulging and bending of panels against moisture/dampness, subjected to less than 24 hours of exposure.
      3. Damage caused due to termites/pests, subjected to the use of the product in hygienic surroundings and with proper maintenance.
      4. Fading of Color/patterns of the panels subjected to the use of the product in Indoor conditions only and not exposed to direct/indirect sunlight, UV light or heat.
      5. Peeling-off of Laminate/edge-band of the panels, subjected to the use of the product in Indoor conditions only and not exposed to Moisture/dampness for more than 24 hours, direct/indirect sunlight, or heat.
      6. Hardware failure within the warranty period, subject to the use of the product in Indoor conditions only and not exposed to Moisture/dampness for more than 24 hours.
    1. Onsite woodwork warranty policies do not cover for
      1. PU-Paint, Veneer, Lacquer and Polish works are not covered under the Aertsen warranty due to its nature of extreme vulnerability to water, chemicals, UV light and heat.
      2. Normal incidental deterioration like cuts, scratches, nicks and abrasions which are resulting from normal use during the standard life of the product.
      3. Natural wear and tear or damage caused by rough handling or using the product beyond its intended use.
      4. Damage caused due to accidents, improper maintenance, or intentional or willful misuse of the product.
      5. This warranty does NOT cover rusting of channels, hinges, and other metallic parts. These could be damaged due to household chemicals and sprays. Hence, care has to be taken while using such products around hardware and accessories.
      6. Any cabinetry or component parts that Aertsen considers to have been subject to alteration, modification, accident, abnormal use, extreme temperatures and continuous contact with water, high moisture levels or use of harsh and/or abrasive cleaning chemicals.
      7. Any labour, installation or transportation costs or any responsibility for damage that considers as natural wear and tear of finishes and surfaces.
      8. Any third-party products used or installed associated with the Custom scope of work instead will carry the third-party brand warranty and one can refer to the respective brand’s website for their warranty policies.

    B1. False Ceiling works:

    1. All the False Ceiling works are covered under a 6-month comprehensive warranty period for the material and workmanship of the scope of works limited to False ceiling failure only.
    2. If a defect is found upon inspection by a company-authorized representative, the defect will be rectified in accordance with the claim terms below.
    3. The warranty policy shall apply where :
      1. The overall false ceiling surface area exceeds 150 sq ft, subject to satisfactory inspection of the surface by Aertsen representative.
      2. Aertsen shall repair and provide labour for re-application of the paint coat, as may be necessary to set right the false ceiling failure in the affected portion only.
    4. Throughout this warranty policy document the words “False ceiling failure” shall mean any of the following occurrences.
      1. Board integrity, flaking and peeling of the joint compound or coming off from the substrate.
      2. Cracks on the surface.
      3. Growth of fungus and algae on ceiling surfaces subjective to NO moisture exposure.
    5. The customer has used the entire false ceiling system recommended and executed by Aertsen.

    The warranty policy shall be void in the following events:

    1. Intermittent dripping of water due to the proximity of vegetation or air-conditioning units or any other sources of water leakage or dampness.
    2. Water penetration due to capillary rise from the ground level or the adjacent walls, water leakage, seeping and continuous dampness of the surface.
    3. Physical damage to the surface with an external force or entity.
    4. Defects arise due to failure or defects in the structure to which the ceiling is anchored.

    In coastal areas fading and chalking occur with all surfaces. Within normal limits, this is not considered as a failure.

    B2. Electrical works:

    1. All the electrical works are covered under a 6-month comprehensive warranty period for the material and workmanship of the scope of works limited to electrical failure only.
    2. Electrical fixtures like lights, fans, sensors and appliances etc. are not covered under Aertsen warranty and carry their respective brand warranty. Aerten is not liable for the warranty claim settlements of such products under any circumstances.
    3. The warranty policy shall apply where:
      1. The overall electrical work carried out exceeds a value of INR 50,000 subject to no voltage fluctuation or no input power source issue checked by Aertsen representative.
      2. The customer has used the entire electrical wiring recommended and laid by Aertsen provided the customer had used appropriate appliances in the usage ports/ points.
    4. Throughout this warranty policy document the words “electrical failure” shall mean any of the following occurring, subject to the other conditions stated in this document
      1. Electrical short circuit/ tripping.
      2. Loose contacts in the plugs/ switches.
    5. Aertsen will carry-out a repair of the identified electrical failure and the repair cost will include the cost of electrical items including wiring, switches, conduits (if any) that are sold by Aertsen only and the labour required to set right the concerned failure only, at the time of lodgment of claim.
    6. Aertsen will not repair or replace the components that are not sold or invoiced by Aertsen at the time of lodgment of the claim.
    7. The warranty policy will not cover any defects arising out of factors out of the control of Aertsen, including but not limited to
      1. Improper power input to the mains.
      2. Water penetration due to capillary rise from the ground level, water leakage, seeping and continuous dampness of the surface.
      3. Electrical failures due to physical damage of conduits, wires, switches and plates.
      4. Issues in the power input source.
      5. Electrical works have been repaired by any other representative other than the company

    representative.

    B3. Plumbing Works

    1. All the Plumbing works are covered under a 6-month comprehensive warranty period for the material and workmanship of the scope of works limited to plumbing failure only.
    2. Plumbing fixtures including but, not limited to basins, faucets, nozzles, angle valves, water closets, showers, diverters and siphons etc. are not covered under Aertsen warranty and carry their respective brand warranty. Aerten is not liable for the warranty claim settlements of such products under any circumstances.
    3. The warranty policy shall apply where:
      1. The overall plumbing work carried out exceeds a value of INR 50,000 subject to satisfactory inspection by Aertsen representative.
      2. The customer has used the entire plumbing system recommended and laid by Aertsen provided the customer had used appropriate fixtures.
    4. Throughout this warranty policy document the words “electrical failure” shall mean any of the following occurring, subject to the other conditions stated in this document
      1. Leakage in plumbing or sanitary pipes.
      2. Plumbing and sanitary pipe manufacturing defect.
    5. Aertsen will carry out a repair of the identified plumbing failure and the repair cost will include the cost of plumbing items including pipes and plumbing-work accessories(if any) that are sold by Aertsen only and the labour required to set right the concerned failure only, at the time of lodgment of the claim.
    6. Aertsen will not repair or replace the components that are not sold or invoiced by Aertsen at the time of lodgment of the claim.
    7. The warranty policy will not cover any defects arising out of factors out of the control of Aertsen, including but not limited to:
      1. Improper quality of water supply to the property.
      2. Water penetration due to capillary rise from the ground level, water leakage, seeping and continuous dampness of the surface.
      3. Plumbing failures due to physical damage or mishandling.
      4. Plumbing works have been repaired by any other representative other than the company representative.
  3. Furniture

    Sofas:

    1. Aertsen warranty does not cover upholstery, normal wear and tear, softening or flattening of cushions and foam, color fading from sunlight, damage caused by rough handling and use of abrasives, corrosive materials, cleaning agents or improper use and maintenance.
    2. This warranty is applicable on sofas including but not limited to 1,2, 3 seater sofas, sectionals, ottomans and sofa cum beds.
    3. 2 Years warranty on any borer/termite issues in solid wood furniture by the brand ‘Aertsen’.
  4. All other furniture:

    1. Aertsen warranty does not cover upholstery, normal wear and tear, softening or flattening of cushions and foam, color fading from sunlight, damage caused by rough handling and use of abrasives, corrosive materials, cleaning agents, or improper use and maintenance.
    2. The following are not considered defects:
      1. Natural wood characteristics such as variations in grain, color, mineral streaks and knots.
    3. This warranty is applicable for furniture including but not limited to upholstered furniture, solid wood furniture, coffee tables, beds, headboards, dining tables and chairs, accent chairs, metal furniture and outdoor furniture.
    4. Brand Partners may offer an additional warranty on certain products or parts of the furniture. Please contact an authorized Aertsen representative to know more.
    5. 2 Years warranty on any borer/termite issues in solid wood furniture by the brand ‘Aertsen’.
