This 3-BHK home with a conservative area of 1,800Sft is home to a young couple. The spatial treatment of this apartment reflects the lifestyle the family aspired for. The vision for this home was to include a Japanese style crafted with a minimal yet bold design. The living area has been elevated to form a deck like space that divides the entryway and dining area. Abundant in sunlight and two accent walls, this area speaks wonders.

This home reveals an interesting spatial choreography through free-flowing spaces and volumetric variations. The spaces render a sense of intimacy and privacy despite being open and extending seamlessly into the adjoining spaces. The layout of the apartment reflects the family’s day-to-day needs. The style, although, rooted in minimalism, is a blend of Scandinavian and Japanese elements. With extensive use of a natural, earthy colour palette and muted tones, the spotlight falls on the furniture.

The dining area is separated from the vanity area by a sheer wooden partition, so as to illuminate the space but retain privacy.

Rustic elegance

The master bedroom instills a bright, airy vibe filled with sunlight. Although predominated in neutrals, the accent wall is a bold teal which stands out against the wooden paneling on either side. The hanging pendant lights add a modern flair to the room. The vanity area occupies a cozy corner beside the bed, leaving the expansive walls to be covered in art.
